You meant to text them.
Then three months passed.

Nobody forgets their friends on purpose. What actually happens is that a week becomes a month, the gap starts to feel awkward, and reaching out gets harder the longer you leave it. Gravity fixes the remembering part so the reaching out stays easy.

Why Gravity works for staying in contact

  • One nudge a day, maximum, and it is the single person who has gone longest without a hello
  • You pick how close you are, Gravity works out when to remind you (14, 30 or 90 days)
  • No streaks, no scores, no guilt when you miss a day. The reminder just comes back
  • Tap once to open iMessage, WhatsApp, a call or an email, then mark it logged
  • Adding someone takes about 30 seconds, just a name and how close you are
  • Free for up to 5 people, so you can find out whether it helps before paying

How it works

  1. Add the people you keep meaning to text — Just a name and how close you are. Phone and email are optional and you type them yourself.
  2. Pick a rhythm, or take the default — Close friends every 14 days, good friends every 30, everyone else every 90. Change it any time.
  3. Get one nudge a day — Gravity surfaces the person who has waited longest. Not a list. One person.
  4. Say something short, then mark it done — A message takes ten seconds. Gravity resets the clock and gets out of your way.

Frequently asked questions

How does Gravity decide who to remind me about?

Every person has a closeness level with a rhythm behind it, either 14, 30 or 90 days. When someone passes their rhythm they become overdue, and Gravity surfaces whoever has been overdue longest. One person at a time.

Will it nag me?

One notification a day at most, and there is no streak to break. If you ignore it nothing is lost. The person simply stays overdue and comes back tomorrow.

Does it read my contacts or my messages?

No. Gravity never asks for permission to read your address book, and it cannot see your messages. You type in the names you want to keep up with. That is deliberate.

What if I have hundreds of people I want to track?

You can, on Gravity Pro ($24/year, unlimited people). But most people do better with 10 to 20. The free tier gives you 5, which is enough to find out whether the habit sticks.

Is there an app, or is it a website?

Both. Native iPhone and Android apps with push notifications, plus the web. Same account everywhere.
